Sherry

At nineteen Sherry began her career, which has been an amazing fifteen years so far. With strong ties and interest to the industry and the education that it has to offer she attained her licensing in British Columbia, her home at the time. And now years later, after relocating to Alberta, she attained her Red Seal. Sherry’s loyalty and stamina for robust work relationships has placed her in a unique position to understand where students come from and where they might be going. Having worked for long periods with the same people and at the same salons shows that Sherry is very committed to her craft and to the idea of education. With a passion for education and teaching she adds a vibe and feel to the Salon floor with both her students and clients. She also holds a certificate in TESOL, which allows her the opportunity to Teach English to Speakers of Other Languages. Which comes in handy for everyone at the Academy, including our International Students. A large family of seven keeps Sherry busy when she’s not teaching her students. She is also an avid hockey fan, her team being the New York Rangers.
